Adult Dependant Visa
Adult Dependant Visas are for close family members who are over 18 and for reasons connected to their age, health or disability are unable to obtain the care that they need in the country where they are resident.
The Home Office changed the requirements in relation to Adult Dependant applications on 9th July 2012 making the Immigration Rules stricter.
UK Visas and Immigration will take into account other factors such as the ability of the relative to obtain the support they need in the country where they currently reside with the financial support of the sponsor (i.e. the relative) resident in the UK.
As Immigration lawyers we are aware that fewer people are able to make successful applications without obtaining good quality advice. We would advise those intending to apply for this visa to obtain Immigration advice before submitting their applications.
